1. Switch on the ‘Power’ button at the bottom of the unit.
2. When the mode indicator light turns red, that means the generator is connected to power
but it hasn’t started to work.
3. Now press the ‘Start’ button on base once, a ‘beep’ sound will be heard and the indicator
will turn green.
4. The machine will start operation & changing rainbow colours will be visible throughout
the process.
5. While it is working, if you press ‘Start’ button once, the product will make a ‘beep’ sound
and rainbow colours will go out. The indicator on the base will turn red and the product
will go into standby mode.
6. If the indicator flashes green and a ‘beep beep’ sound is heard, the product is under
overload operation. At such a time, press the ‘Start’ button, then turn off the ‘Power’
button, switch off the main power button & unplug the product. Check the connecting
pole on the base; or check if there’s any dirt in the body part. After confirming it is in
normal condition, pour away the saltine water and repeat the preparation process of the
solution.
Do’s & Dont’s of Product
1. The product will only work after the ‘Power’ button at the bottom is turned on when
connected to power. When it’s working, please don’t touch the water inside the product
to avoid electric shock.
2. After finishing making the disinfectant liquid, unplug in time and pour the solution in the
electrolytic cell into the storage jar. Use up the remaining liquid as soon as possible.
After that, please clean up the electrolytic cell with clean water and dry out to extend
the working life of the generator.
3.
Maintenance:
In order to extend the working life of the Surface Disinfectant Generator,
avoid leaving saline water in the product for a long time. Also avoid storing the Sodium
Hypochlorite solution produced after electrolysis in the body bucket for a long period. It
is advisable that you immediately transfer it into the storage jar.
4.
Storage of Solution Generated:
If there is some remaining solution in the storage jar,
please close the lid tightly and put it in a place shielded from light where it cannot be
reached by children.
It is advised to label the jar with the name of the liquid
(Sodium Hypochlorite solution).
Under normal conditions, post 2 weeks of storage, the solution will begin to lose its
effectiveness.
5.
Metal:
Sodium Hypochlorite solution
will oxidise metals.
Therefore, metal containers
cannot be used to store the solution. If you’re disinfecting the metal containers, clean it
with water right after sterilisation and wipe it immediately.
6.
Fabrics:
Sodium Hypochlorite solution will bleach fabrics. Use carefully on coloured or
dark-coloured clothes.
Silk and leather cannot be soaked with it.
7.
Solution Concentration & Cycles:
The effective chlorine is around 600mg/L +/-20%,
for every single round generation. If high concentration solution is needed, keep the
solution in the electrolytic tank after the first round of electrolysis and then press the
power button to make the generator work again. After the second round, the effective
chlorine content will be 1200mg/L +/-20%. Two cycles can be performed one after the
other,
however a gap of minimum 10 minutes is recommended before starting a
3
rd
cycle
to maintain performance of the machine.
8. While the power is on, do not remove, replace or fidget with the bucket body.
9.
Circuit:
The circuit is equipped with over-current protection, to automatically provide
protection when there’s too much salt.
10. Keep away from children and persons incapable of understanding the guidelines
provided herein. Handling, cleaning & maintenance of the machine by
adults (18+ in
age)
is always recommended and children shall not play with the appliance.
11. Do not expose electronic items directly to disinfectant solution, it may damage
electronics. Spray some solution on soft cloth and use this to wipe the electronic items.
12.
In case of machine failure, please contact Eureka Forbes authorised service
centre only.
Instructions on Mode Indicator
How to Use
1. Check and confirm that there is no foreign matter in the electrolytic tank and storage jar.
2. Take a spoonful of table salt or common salt with the salt spoon provided (could be
1mm lower than the spoon edge, but no higher than the edge, about 30g).
3. Add 1 litre of water in the measured storage jar (fill to brim). Shake the jar until the
salt is completely dissolved in the water.
4. Add all of the saltine solution in the storage jar into the body of the product.
5.
Water purified with Water Purifier (< 500 TDS)
is recommended for
enhanced life of electrodes and to produce recommended concentration of
disinfectant solution.
6. Connect the body bucket with the base, make sure it is firmly placed on the connector.
