CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS
FRONT PANEL
1.-
Filter controls
: each one of these lineal potentiometers can increase or reduce the selected frequecy
±6 dB or ±12 dB. When all the potentiometers are in the centre, the equalizer output has a flat response.
2.-
INPUT
: this control assigns the signal level to the equalizer. The central position 5 is a neutral level (it
neither increases nor decreases). If the CLIP LED indicator lights up continually, lower this control until
it only flashes occasionally.
3.-
HI-PASS
: this control electronically inserts a high-pass filter into the signal, cutting the lower frequencies
at 40 Hz (12 dB per octave). The 40 Hz LED indicator lights up when the control is pressed and the filter
is activated in the circuit.
4.-
BYPASS
: this switch activates or deactivates the equalizer. On deactivating the equalizer the LED
BYPASS indicator lights up showing this mode; the input signal is sent directly to the output jacks
without passing through the equalizer.
5.-
LOW-PASS
: this control electronically inserts a low-pass filter into the signal, cutting the higher
frequencies at 16 kHz (12 dB per octave). The 16 kHz LED indicator lights up when the control is pressed
and the filter is activated in the circuit.

RANGE
: the gain range or potentiometer attenuation in each frequency is selectable between ±6 dB
(green LED indicator) and ±12 dB (red LED indicator).
7.-
40 Hz
: when this LED indicator lights up, it shows that the high pass filter (40 Hz/12 dB) is active.
8.-
16 kHz
: when this LED indicator lights up, it shows that the low pass filter (16 kHz/12 dB) is active.
9.-
±12, ±6
: when the ±6 dB range is selected, the green LED indicator lights up and when ±12 dB is
selected, the red LED indicator lights up.
10.-
BYPASS
: when the LED indicator lights up, the input signal goes directly to the output.
11.-
CLIP
: this LED indicator lights up when there is excessive signal. Occasional flashing is acceptable, but
if the LED indicator is continually alight, the input level control must be lowered or the output level of the
equipment connected to the input must be reduced to avoid distortion.
12.-
Power switch
: to switch the equipment on and off.
