MCSDI-1 Portable SD/HD-SDI Media Converter

Studio
Typical Analog Studio
Typically, small broadcasters cover interviews, presentations, and
live events. The average studio is an analog environment with
three HD or SD cameras. In the studio or field, the short cable
lengths required for analog technology restricts camera placement
in relation to video switchers and mixers.
Digital SDI Studio
SD/HD-SDI is a digital video technology that frees camera
placement in the studio and field. It also prepares the studio for the
use of the latest digital video switchers and mixers.
The MCSDI-1 automatically senses the output from the analog or
digital SD/HD camera and converts it to a corresponding SD/HD-
SDI digital signal, for more information see

SDI cabling provides for longer cable runs:
• HD-SDI, 656 ft. (200 m.)
• SD-SDI, 1148 ft. (350 m.)
