Cleaning 11
Clean pump, motor and mains connection only outside the hazardous area.
Clean pump when changing container or product.
Rinse the pump with an appropriate detergent.
Pump and hose must be resistant to the cleaning agent.
Do not use flammable liquids.
Observe the safety instructions.
Maintenance / Repair 12
> Repairs on explosion-proof motors or pumps may only be carried out by the manu-
facturer or an authorized repair shop.
> All motors must be checked regularly in accordance with the legal/country-specific
requirements and accident prevention regulations (in Germany, e.g. DGUV
Vorschrift 3).
> Regularly check motor, cable, pump and hose on operational safety.
> Always replace defective mains connection cables. Changes to the mains connec-
tion may only be carried out by trained electricians.
> Empty pump, hose and fittings before maintenance / repair. Totally open the fittings
for emptying.
> On maintenance / repair of the pump the motor must be removed from the pump.
Always replace defective parts.
> Only use genuine spare parts.
> Regularly check the hose clamps or hose holders for firm seating.
Dismantling and Disposal 13
> The pump, the hose and the fittings must be emptied prior to dismantling.
> Collect environmentally harmful substances and liquids in appropriate containers
and dispose of them in an environmentally sound manner.
> Dispose of scrap material and parts that cannot be repaired or reused in an
environmentally sound manner
