2.3
SPAN
With the span, the sensor signal is converted to a height. The span is
determined on the basis of the selected measurement unit at 20mA.
The more accurate the span, the more accurate the functioning of the
system will be.
Example
Calculating the span for height with offset
Let us assume that the sensor generates 4mA at a height of 21.4 cm
water column, and 20mA at 4245.8 cm water column. The selected
unit is CMWC with no decimals.
The span is 4245.8-21.4=4224.4. Enter for SETUP 2.1:
“CMWC”,
SETUP 2.2: “00000”, SETUP 2.3 “4224” and SETUP 2.4 “21.4”.
2.4
OFFSET
Enter here the "not measured" quantity which is present without a
sensor signal being generated.
Also, a negative offset can be entered: do press the middle and right
button simultaneously.

SETUP
FUNCTIONS
AND
VARIABLES
3
CONTROL
3.1
FUNCTION
HIGH ON:
The control output will be switched on at high level
and off at low level. To be used for pump-out
applications.
LOW ON:
The control output will be switched on at low level and
off at high level. To be used for fill-up applications.
OFF:
Control function is disabled. The unit now functions as
a level indicator.
3.2
CONTROL VALUE LOW
LEVEL
The low control level is set with this setting.
3.3
CONYTROL VALUE HIGH
LEVEL
The high control level is set with this setting.
3.4
DELAY TIME LOW LEVEL
Low level control output triggering will be ignored during the set
period. If the measured level is still low after this delay time, control
output is switched (according to SETUP 3.1 and 3.2).
3.5
DELAY TIME HIGH LEVEL
High level control output triggering will be ignored during the set
period. If the measured level is still high after this delay time, control
output is switched (according to SETUP 3.1 and 3.2).

FUNCTIONS
AND
VARIABLES
4
DISPLAY
4.1
FUNCTION
The small 8mm digits can be set to display height, percentage or
nothing (off).
4.2
EDIT
This function determines if the control values can be set at both
Operator level and SETUP-level or SETUP-level only.
If SETUP has been selected, the alarm values are still visible for the
Operator but cannot be changed.
The functions below will only affect the optional LED-backlight.
4.3
BACKLIGHT (optional)
If a LED backlight has been supplied, it can be turned on or off.
4.4
BL. BRIGHTNESS
(optional)
The backlight brightness is adjustable. The following can be selected:
1
– 5 (where 1 is minimum and 5 is maximum brightness)
