Antenna connection
The following example shows a Panel antenna.
Please follow carefully these instructions:
•
Wire the QMA cable end on the 4500 and the N male or N female to a surge suppressor (if foreseen) then connect the
surge suppressor to the antenna (N-male or N-female cable).
•
Apply water insulating material over the RF connectors (e.g. self-shrinking tape)
•
Leave the water protection caps on all the unused M12 connectors.
•
Install the connectors in vertical position to reduce the possibility of water intrusion
•
Always check that the QMA cables are connected to the device, in order to avoid environmental exposition of the
connectors.
