10. Troubleshooting
If your charcoal barbecue does not work as normal, follow the instructions below to try to solve the
problem. If working through the tips below does not fix the fault, please contact our hotline (see
"Guarantee information" on page 14).
Problem Possible causes Remedy
Charcoal does not
light. Fan is not powered on. Turn the control dial (9) to the maximum
position (clockwise until it stops) to power on
the fan.
Control dial adjusted to too
low position. Turn the control dial (9) to the maximum
position (clockwise until it stops).
Fan cannot be
powered on. Battery inserted incorrectly or
empty. Insert the batteries with the correct polarity (+
and -). Replace the batteries with new ones as
needed.
Barbecue becomes
too hot or undesired
flame formation. Control dial adjusted to too
high position. Reduce the air supply using the control dial (9).
To do this, turn it in a counter-clockwise
direction.
Barbecue does not
become hot
enough. Control dial adjusted to too
low position. Increase the air supply using the control dial
(9). To do this, turn it in a clockwise direction.
11. Environmental regulations and disposal information
A symbol depicting a crossed-out rubbish bin on a product means it is subject to
European Directive 2012/19/EU. All electrical and electronic devices must be
disposed of separately from household waste at official disposal centres.
Do not dispose of the device in household waste or bulky waste collections.
Information on collection points and pick-up times can be obtained from your local
council or waste disposal company.
Old batteries must not be disposed of with domestic waste. They must be handed in at a collection point
for waste batteries. Please note that batteries must be disposed of fully discharged at appropriate
collection points for old batteries. If disposing of batteries which are not fully discharged, take precautions
to prevent short circuits.
Dispose of all packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Cardboard packaging can be taken to
paper recycling centres or public collection points for recycling. Any film or plastic contained in the
packaging should be taken to your public collection points for disposal.
