3.1 GSM modem
GSM modem may be used for conventional dial up (or dial back in case of alarm) and/or using SMS for
alarm message and recorded measuring values.
It's only possible to select either a dial back or a SMS transmission in case of an alarm.
GSM dial back in case of alarms
When an alarm is marked with "1: Dial" or "0: Dial" in the Alarm set up page and the alarm occurs/disappears
a GSM dial back to "Primary phone no" is started. When connection is established the content of the "ID-
string" is transmitted to the receiving application. Hereafter the communication board will change to Modbus
RTU mode and communication can begin.
If the call doesn't succeed the communication controller will retry 10 times on the "Primary phone no" and
then switch to "Secondary phone no" for another 10 retries.
The following settings are required to make a GSM dial back:
Primary phone no.:
Phone no. for host computer receiving alarm calls.
Secondary phone no.:
Phone no. to use, if primary phone no. is not responding (after having tried 10
times)
ID-string:
Enter Uniflo ID-no. to send to host computer
Send ID:

GSM – SMS in case of alarms
