INSTRUCTIONS
3.1
Description and Use of Controls and Indicators
This section contains the descriptions and the uses of SeaFLIR II
Imaging System controls and indicators. The Hand Control Unit (HCU) is
a manually activated device to which the SeaFLIR II Imaging responds
when a control or switch is actuated. The HCU functions and controls
are identified in Figure 3-1 and are described in the following
paragraphs.
3.1.1 MENU
Switch
Pressing the MENU Switch activates the SeaFLIR II Imaging System pull
down menus.
3.1.2 ADJ
Switch
The ADJ Switch activates the menu item on which the high liter rests.
•
When the item selected is a simple command, pressing the ADJ
Switch executes the command.
•
When the item is a command that toggles a setting, the menu text
will contain a checkbox ([ ] not active [
a
] active) reflecting the
current value of the setting.
•
After the ADJ Switch is pressed, the item is changed to reflect the
new value or setting.
•
When the item is a menu (
Æ
), ADJ Switch enters that menu.
•
When the item is Date and time or Agency name, pressing the ADJ
Switch allows the editing of that particular value.
•
When the item is “12 O’clock set”, pressing the ADJ Switch will set
the current azimuth position of the SGA as the new 12 O’clock
position.
3.1.3 EXIT
Switch
Pressing the EXIT Switch exits the current menu.
When editing the Agency name text or Date and time, pressing the EXIT
Switch saves the changes and ends the edit mode.
