Working with alarms
18.1
General alarms
General
You can make the camera trigger an audible or visual alarm when certain measure-
ment conditions are met.
Types of alarm
You can choose between the following alarm types:
■
Above
: Triggers an alarm when a temperature is above the preset alarm temper-
ature.
■
Below
: Triggers an alarm when a temperature is below the preset alarm tempera-
ture.
Alarm signals
When an alarm is triggered, the alarm signal can be the following:
■
An audible alarm signal (a ‘beep’)
■
A visible alarm signal (an isotherm)
NOTE
This procedure is an example procedure about setting up an alarm for a spotmeter
temperature. Setting up alarms for other measurement tools works in a similar way.
Procedure
Follow this procedure to set up an alarm:
To go to the mode selector, push the
button to the right of the joystick.

In the mode selector, select
Camera
and push the joystick.

To create a spotmeter, select
Spot
in the toolbox and push the joystick.

Change the settings for the spotmeter according to section 16.1 – Creating
& setting up a spotmeter on page 95.

To select
Alarm
, move the joystick up/down.

Push the joystick.

Do the following and push the joystick to confirm each choice:
1 Select an alarm type.
2 For each alarm type there are different settings that need to be made.
Change these settings according to your application and type of alarm.
3 Select an alarm signal.

To confirm and leave the dialog box, push the
button.
An alarm will now be triggered when the conditions you have set for the
alarm are met.
