4.2 Supply and installation
Note the permitted maximum speeds and axle loads with regard to the operational
limits of the drawbar eye connection. These are specified on the type plate.
4.2.1
Drawbar eye connection
The ordered flange coupling is fitted in top or bottom attachment position on the trailer.
For possible drawbar eye types, refer to section 8.4.
Procedure
Check the towing coupling on the tractor to ensure it is fully functional and securely hitched, and adjust
the trailer height to match the towing vehicle.
4.2.2
Establishing the electrical connection
All wiring and connections on the trailer are ready for operation and fully assembled.
Do not tap in directly to the ignition switch (risk of fire or damage to the electrical system).
If your towing vehicle does not feature a plug connection, it must be fitted.
The necessary work must only be performed by a specialist workshop.
Use only original fuses.
If fuses with an excessively high rating are used, the electrical system will be
destroyed.
When electrical devices and/or components are installed on the machine at a later
stage, and connected to the on-board power supply, it is the user's responsibility to
verify whether this installation results in faults or malfunctions of the vehicle electronics
or other components.
Lighting connection
Procedure:
Power is supplied by the towing vehicle via plug connection(s).

A socket is located at the rear of the vehicle for the power supply
to a second trailer, if applicable.

When establishing the connections, ensure that the plugs and sockets are clean and
dry. Contamination and moisture can lead to short-circuits.
Ensure that any electrical and electronic components installed at a later stage comply
with the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, as amended over time, and bear the CE mark.
