7.2 Diagnostics
Acceptable Light and Signal % Levels
It is good practice to verify the light value upon reception of the sensors and throughout their installation
process.
You can verify both the light and signal levels of each of your channels/sensors using the Nortech Client II
software.
The “Light %” is related to the strength of the light required to make an accurate reading on a sensor.
A sharp increase of the light value could indicate one of the following problems:
Contaminated or Dirty connection
Over bent cable along the sensor cable routing
Broken Sensor or Extension Cable
Damage Sensor Tip
Don’t forget, all connections should ALWAYS be cleaned first using appropriate cleaning tool like a One-Click
Cleaner.
7.3 Sensor’s Light levels
The sensor light value gives an indication of the sensor health.
Light Levels
Sensor connected directly into the monitor (without a patch cord or Easy Through)
