2. Place the platform on the bow of your boat to determine where it will be installed. Once you
are sure of the placement of the platform, assemble the turnbuckle assembly including
screwing the eyelet into the base plate as shown below. Attach the turnbuckle assembly to
the frame rail and make sure the base plate will be mounted at an acceptable location on the
front deck. Adjust the base plate level with the bow of the boat. Mark the holes where the base
plate will be fastened to the deck.
3. Drill 13/64th hole for each location on the deck for the three screws to attach the base plate to
the front deck. RUN DRILL IN REVERSE and chamfer or radius the edges of the holes with a
larger drill bit run in reverse by hand or with sandpaper. Test first hole with the screw and if
needed ream the hole out a little so the screw can go all the way in. See our T-Top installation
manual at www.Fishmaster.com/support.htm for a detailed description of drilling through
fiberglass if you have not installed a T-Top or other marine accessory into fiberglass.
4. Fill each screw hole and coat each screw with 3M 5200 Adhesive or equivalent to ensure
adequate strength in mounting the base plate to the bow of the boat. Attach the base plate and
allow adequate time for the adhesive in the holes to cure before use.
OPERATION
To attach the casting platform to the bow of the boat insert the stainless eyelet into the base plate
if needed. Place the platform in position and attach the turnbuckle assembly to the base plate and
frame rail and turn the handle until it is just snug plus ½ to 1 turn. Loosen the turnbuckle
assembly to remove the platform.
NOTE: If the bow, frame or platform do not sit perfectly level together after installation and there is
any feel of rocking of three legs use the included washers to level the installation. Remove the
rubber foot of the leg that needs to be lengthened and add one to two additional washers as
needed to level the frame to the bow of the boat.
