Operation
Warning: Never stand on, or attempt to cut through, thin ice. The ice could break through
causing you to fall in the water.
1.
Remove the Ice Auger from its Carrying Case (9).
2.
Snap off one end of the Safety Clip (7). See photos on page 3 and below.
3.
Loosen Wing Nut (6) enough to allow the Crank Handle (1) and the Auger Shaft (2) to
pivot on their hinge and lay straight.
4.
Securely retighten Wing Nut (6).
5. Remove the Cutting Tip Cover (10), then lift the Ice Auger and hold vertical to the ice.

Hold the Handles with both hands and begin to turn clockwise. Turn slowly at first until
the auger engages the ice.
7.
When finished drilling, collapse the Ice Auger, dry off, Put the Cutting Tip Cover (10)
on and store in its Carrying Case (9).
