Installation instructions

Electrical connection

Important!

 

This appliance must be earthed.

 

Installation must be carried out according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

 

Incorrect installation may cause harm and damage to people, animals or property, for which the 
manufacturer accepts no responsibility.

 

If the installation requires alterations to the domestic wiring system, call a qualified electrician. 
The electrician should also check that the socket cable section is suitable for the power drawn 
by the appliance. Before carrying out any work on the power section of the appliance, it must be 
disconnected from the electricity supply.

 

The plug must be connected to an earthed socket in compliance with safety standards.

 

Do not use adapters, reducers, a multi-outlet power board or branching devices when connecting 
this appliance to the mains power supply, as doing so can cause overheating and burning.

 

The appliance must be connected to the mains power supply checking that the voltage 
corresponds to the value given in the rating plate and that the electrical cable sections can 
withstand the load specified on the plate.

 

If the appliance is supplied without a plug, fit a standard plug which is suitable for the power 
consumed by the appliance.

 

A suitable isolating switch providing full disconnection from the mains power supply must be 
incorporated in the permanent wiring, mounted and positioned to comply with the local wiring 
rules and regulations. The switch must be of an approved type and provide a 3 mm air gap 
contact separation in all poles in accordance with the local wiring rules. The switch or socket 
must be accessible with the appliance installed.

 

The power supply cable must not touch any hot parts and must be positioned so that it does not 
exceed 75°C at any point along its length.

 

If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a cable of the same type. It can only 
be replaced by the manufacturer, its Service Agent or a similarly qualified person by a in order to 
avoid a hazard.

 

As the colours of the wires in the power supply cable of this appliance may not correspond with 
the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
