Instructions
1. Remove the cover from in front of the arm rest on the center console by pushing forward and lifting
up on the front first. This also will house the convertible top controls on equipped models.
2. Disconnect convertible switch if necessary and set the cover aside.
3. Remove (2) T-20 from under the cover and remove the plastic cover mount. (see pictures)
4. Remove (2) T-20 from the front section of the arm rest. (see pictures)
5. Remove (2) T-20 from inside the console cubby next to the key cylinder. (see pictures)
6. Remove (2) T-20 from inside the console at the bottom of the cup holders. (see pictures)
7. Using the EIS tool, remove the ring from the EIS.
8. Remove the armrest and upper cover to the console and set it aside. The EIS should separate from
the cover and stay connected and in the console area.
9. Disconnect the EIS plugs and connect the supplied T-harness in line between the factory wiring and
the rear of the EIS.
10. Locate the KeylessGo module behind the passenger seat by lifting up the carpet on the rear wall.
11. Unplug the connector containing the CAN wires and remove the black insert from the white
housing.
12. Insert the provided prewired KeylessGo plug into the housing and plug it back into the KeylessGo
module.
13. Turn on the valet switch and start the vehicle and let it run for 60 seconds. Verify there are no
error messages and that all functions are working properly.
14. Turn off the vehicle and press the panic button once to test the remote start.
15. Push the start button once on the console to perform a key take over. The lights should flash 3x
confirming the action.
16. If all is working as it should, the vehicle can be reassembled.
17. Locate a place to mount the valet switch. Drill a 3/4” hole and mount the switch.
18. Locate a place to mount the Mercedes DC control module away from heat and moving parts.
19. Reassemble the console and remount the EIS using the EIS tool and replace the (6) T-20 holding
the console in place.
20. Snap on the cover removed in step 1.
21. Tie up the KeylessGo wire harness neatly and replace the carpet panel behind the passenger
seat.
