map will have the West coast highlighted for Pacific Time zone.
If the display is showing something different, or is not in 12 hour mode, please
unplug the power adaptor and remove all the batteries from the main unit. Wait a
minute or two, and reattach the AC-DC Power Adaptor and replace the Batteries.
REMOTE SENSOR
1. Open the Battery Door on the back of the remote sensor.
2. Following the polarity (+ and -) diagrams shown inside the battery compartment, insert 2
‘AAA' (UM-4) batteries (not included).
Note:
For optimum performance, lithium type batteries are recommended.
3. Replace the Battery Door.
IMPORTANT
: Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage
the unit.
BATTERY NOTE AND CARE

Danger of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same or
equivalent type.

Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
- If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the battery. Any old or
leaking battery can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
- Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat, rupture
and leak(Follow battery manufacturer’s directions).

CLOCK AND CALENDAR SETTING
The time on this unit can be set manually or automatically
when it’s receiving the WWVB
signal broadcasted by NIST radio station.
AUTOMATIC TIME SETTING
Radio Controlled Clock Receiving
The unit will automatically enter the RCC
(Radio Controlled Clock)
receiving state after
about 4 minutes
once it’s plugged in or reset.
To enter the RCC receiving mode immediately,
1. In clock display mode, press and hold the
“DOWN/TIME ZONE” button for 2 seconds, or
until the RCC receiving indicator (#4) appears flashing on the display. The unit will enter
RCC receiving mode automatically every day.
2. Automatic RCC receiving will begin at the following times: 2:00 AM, 3:00 AM, 4:00 AM
and 5:00 AM respectively. The unit begins receiving the RCC signal at 2:00 AM, if it fails
to receive at this time, the unit will try to receive again at 3:00 AM automatically. If the
reception is successful at 2:00 AM, it will not enter the RCC receiving mode any more
until 2:00 AM the next day. If it fails again at 3:00 AM, the unit will try again two more
