IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WARNING
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and personal injury, including the following
:
1.
Read all instructions before using the knife sharpener.
2.
To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not put knife
sharpener in water or other liquids.
3.
This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and
its cord out of reach of children.
4.
Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
5.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
6.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply when not in use,
before changing accessories or parts, approaching parts that move in
use, before disassembling or assembling, and before cleaning.
7.
Avoid contacting moving parts.
8.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or in the
event the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any
manner. Return the appliance to our factory for examination, repair or
electrical or mechanical adjustment. If the supply cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
9.
The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer
may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
10.
Do not use outdoors.
11.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
12.
Do not let cord contact hot surfaces, including the stove.
13.
Only clean knife blades are to be inserted in the knife sharpener.
