Place the assembled fire bowl on your table top with the burner extension dropping though the table hole.
6.
After setting bowl on table you will attach regulator valve with orifice to the burner assembly. Apply sealing
tape to orifice threads prior to attaching. Be sure not to block the small hole in the orifice.
7.
Fill the fire bowl with the decorative rock. Fill the bowl with enough rock to cover the burner. The movement of
the rock will change the displacement of the flame. Feel free to adjust the rock to achieve your desired flame.
Too much rock will cause the flame to migrate to the side of the bowl, which can be a hazard.
8.
Be sure the regulator and propane tank valves are both in the “OFF” position. Connect to the propane tank.
Placement and Location
Your Fire Topper Fire Bowl is designed for outdoor use with propane only and is designed only to be used on a stable
noncombustible surface. Never locate this appliance in any type of enclosed area such as a garage, shed, or
breezeway or any other enclosed room or under an overhead structure. Keep clear of trees and shrubs. Do not place
fire bowl under or near windows or vents that can be opened into your home. Maintain sufficient distance as to not
overheat any overhead combustible material such as a patio cover.
The area surrounding your fire bowl should be kept clean and free from flammable liquids and other combustible
materials such as mops, rags or brooms, as well as solvents, cleaning fluids, and gasoline. Do not cover or block the top
of your fire bowl during operation as gas may build up and cause serious damage.
Do not install or operate your fire bowl in such a manner that there is no cross ventilation. Fresh air must be able to pass
though installed vents to safeguard against residual gas accumulation. Failure to allow proper ventilation may cause fire
or explosion. Do not locate appliance where it can get excessively wet.
Liquid Propane Tank
Your Fire Topper Fire Bowl is set up for liquid propane provided by a tank. Your Fire Topper Fire Bowl is not provided with a
propane tank. You will need to provide one. Use these specifications for purchasing your propane tank:
The propane gas supply cylinder used should be constructed and marked in accordance with the specifications for
propane gas cylinders as required by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) or the CAN/CSA B339, Cylinders,
Spheres and Tubes for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
Always use the cylinder dust cap on the cylinder valve outlet during transport and when the cylinder is not connected to
the fire bowl. The propane gas cylinder used must include a collar to protect the cylinder valve.
When connecting the regulator assembly to the tank valve, hand tighten the black QCC-1 nut clockwise. DO NOT use a
wrench to tighten.
