3. PROCESSING / INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Commencement of operation
Please check the unit for transport damages immediately after unpacking. If there
should be any please claim back immediately.
3.2 Ignition
At first the air regulator screw is opened. Thereto the regulator screw is turned to the
highest flame position. With a hissing sound gas is now discharged from the valve
above the ignition head. The air control lever must be completely open before igniting
the soldering torch.
Now the ignition button is pushed. The piezo-electric ignition ignites the discharged gas
and results in a well adjustable flame.
3.3 Flame adjustment
To extend the flame the regulator is turned to the right. To shorten it the regulator is
turned to the left. To achieve an optimum flame strength the unit should not be too hot.
3.4 Temperature adjustment
The temperature of the flame is adjusted with the air regulator screw. The maximum
temperature of the flame is 1.300 °C.
3.5 Refilling of gas
First make sure that the torch is switched-off and that there are no open flames or hot
surfaces around. Now shake the gas container to warm up the gas a bit. It should
never be attempted to warm up the gas by external measures (danger of explosion).
Now the nozzle of the gas container is vertically inserted into the refilling socket of the
soldering torch. Pressure on the bottom of the container initiates the refilling of the
torch. A complete refill of an empty torch takes approx. 30 sec. It is recommended to
use only high-grade gas for the refilling of the soldering torch.
4. STORAGE
The soldering torch should not be exposed to direct sunlight and temperatures above
50 °C. It is important to keep the torch out of the reach of children.
5. MAINTENANCE
Repairs of the unit should only be done by the LABOSHOP GmbH or authorised
workshops. The user is liable for damages caused by arbitrary repairs. The
unrestricted conditions of warranty and delivery of the LABOSHOP GmbH apply for this
unit.
6. SAFETY INFORMATION
Keep your hands, your face and flammable materials away from the flame of the torch
during operation respectively during burning. Store the torch out of the reach of
children. Do not immerse hot parts of the torch in water. The torch should cool down
unaffectedly. Use the butane gas, which is recommended and specified by the
manufacturer. Do not use propane gas or other sorts of gases or flammable liquids. Do
not store the torch and the gas at temperatures above 50 °C.
