Operating Precautions
Important:
• Keep batteries away from children. If a battery is accidentally swallowed, contact your
physician or local poison control center immediately.
• If batteries leak, carefully wipe out the interior of the battery compartment while taking care
to avoid any battery fluid coming into contact with your skin.
• Make sure the positive (+) and negative (-) sides of the batteries are facing correctly when
inserting them.
• The batteries that come included are not chargeable. Never try to charge them.
• Replace the batteries at least once a year, even if the current batteries are working properly.
• Used batteries should be removed immediately and must be recycled or disposed of
properly according to governmental regulations.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may leak or explode.
Operating Precautions:
1. Do not use or store this scale in areas exposed to temperature extremes, strong
magnetism, strong vibration or strong impact.
2. Heat can shorten battery life and cause malfunction. Keep the scale away from heaters and
direct sunlight when using it.
3. Never use the scale in a bathroom or any other areas subject to high humidity.
4. Never try to take the scale apart. Doing so can cause malfunction.
5. To clean the scale , use a soft dry cloth or a cloth moistened in a solution of water and
a mild neutral detergent. Wring out all excess moisture from the cloth. Never use thinner,
benzene, alcohol or other similar agents.
6. Keep your manual and all information handy for future reference.
