NOTE 1:

You cannot mix the FIK Series SLC devices with others on the same System.

1.

Enter the Installer Code.

2.

Select 7 for the Program Menu.

3.

Press 5 for the System Options.

4.

Press 8 for the SLC Family.

5.

Press the up arrow to select the desired SLC family type.

6.

Press ENTER to accept the displayed SLC family type.

NOTE 2:

When changing SLC type the following message will appear:

Message when changing the SLC family from FIK. Changing to this SLC FIK family will remove all external FIK-6815’s.

9.7 JumpStart

®

AutoProgramming

To run JumpStart AutoProgramming:
1.

Enter the Installer Code.

2.

Select 7 for the Program Menu.

3.

Select 6 for the JumpStart.

4.

Press ENTER to accept the Warning screen.

5.

Follow the remaining on screen instructions.

6.

Press ENTER to confirm. See Section 8.1.3

9.8 Restore Defaults

This option allows you to restore the panel back to the factory defaults. All programming will be lost.
1.

Enter the Installer Code. The panel will automatically access the Main Menu.

2.

Select 7 for the Panel Programming.

3.

Select 7 for the Restore Defaults.

4.

Press the up or down arrow key to select YES or NO from the Warning screen. Then press ENTER.

9.9 Voice Options

Use the Programming Menu, to modify the messages programmed into the FIK-NVCM . You can also modify other voice set-

tings.

9.9.1 FIK-NVCM Maintenance

The FIK-NVCM Maintenance Menu is used to program the custom messages into the FIK-NVCM. The messages can be
recorded locally using the microphone.
1.

Select 7 for th Panel Programming.

2.

Select 8 for the Voice Options.

3.

Select 1 for FIK-NVCM Maintenance.

9.9.2 Voice Settings

1.

Select 7 for the Panel Programming.

2.

Select 8 for the Voice Options.

3.

Select 2 for the Voice Settings.

Enable Dual Channel System

This option allows you to select whether the dual channel is enabled in the System. For the dual channel capabilities, the Sys-
tem must only contain the dual channel voice hardware.
1.

Press the up or down arrow key to select YES or NO to enable the System as dual channel. Then, press ENTER.

IMPORTANT!

The JumpStart Auto-Programming is used to auto learn the System hardware after the devices have been added or
removed from the System. The Hardware devices which remain the same between repeat JumpStart will retain any
customized text or options associated with the device. It is best to carefully consider the Network ID setting for each panel
before the first JumpStart Auto-Programming is performed. Once this is done, the panel must be set to the default and back
to the factory defaults if the network ID settings need to change.
