4.2.1.3
Pilot exhaust air
Unducted pilot exhaust air
Ducted pilot exhaust air
The pilot exhaust air is exhausted directly at
every valve. If a soft start valve or pilot air
switching valve is used, the pilot exhaust air can
only be exhausted unducted.
The pilot exhaust air is exhausted through
port (12) of the right-hand end plate.

4.2.1.4
Forming pressure zones
In order to supply valves with different pressures, pressure zones for the working air and the pilot air
can be formed within the valve terminal. The pressure zones are defined by separating seals between
the manifold sub-bases
4.1.1.13 Separating seals for pressure zone formation.
Every pressure zone must be supplied with compressed air via a supply component
Pressure-free zones must not be formed.
Several pressure zones are required within the valve terminal to operate vacuum-compatible or
low-pressure-compatible valves along with other valves.
Use of soft start valves
A soft start valve must not be combined with another supply component for duct (1) in a pressure
zone.
Observe the electrical regulations for creating voltage zones when using multiple soft start valves
4.2.2.1 Formation of voltage zones.
The soft start valve completely occupies a safe zone.
The system can be safely switched off and exhausted in two stages.
Use of pilot air switching valves
A pilot air switching valve must not be combined with another supply component for duct (14) in one
pressure zone.
