The vertical pressure shut-off plate

is intended to permit a valve change
under operational and pilot pressure. The vertical pressure shut-off plate

is located between the sub-base (B) and the valve

.
Warning
Beware of uncontrolled movements of components;
they can result in injuries.
•
Make sure that mounting or removal is performed in the pressureless
state.
Note
The distance piece
3
includes an application of adhesive that
connects it
to sub-base (B) when it is screwed in place (setting time 24 hours) and
that
would be destroyed in case of removal.
•
Please note that the vertical pressure shut-off plate
1
can no longer be
removed after mounting.

Pre-assembly

Push the fibre-optic cable ex-
tension

onto the electron-
ics module (A).

Check that the conical ring
seal (D) is in the correct
position
(tapered side down).
•
Position the vertical pressure
shut-off plate
1
on the sub-
base (B).
•
Place the washers

with
the round side outward in
the lateral slots.
•
Fasten the vertical pressure
shut-off plate
1
with both
distance pieces

.
Observe the permitted tight-
ening torque.

Check that the conical ring
seal (E) is in the correct posi-
tion
(tapered side down).
•
Position the valve

on the
vertical pressure shut-off
plate
1
.
•
Tighten the screws (F). Ob-
serve the permitted tighten-
ing torque.
Information
The vertical pressure shut-off plate
1
supplies the valve
5
with internal
pilot air.

Replacing the valve

under operating and pilot pressure

Block the operating pressure
on the corresponding valve
position by pressing the ac-
tuating element (G) down-
ward.
•
Now lock
the pressure shut-
off plate
1
by turning the
downward-pressed actuating
element (G) 90° to the right.

After cutting off the operating
pressure:
•
Unscrew the screws (F).
•
Replace the valve

. Ob-
serve the permitted tighten-
ing torque
(
Section 3).
Only after the valve change:
•
Unlock the pressure shut-off
plate
1
by turning the actu-
ating element (G) 90° to the
left.
Information
After replacement of a valve in the actuated state, the new valve is actu-
ated again electrically, where appropriate.
