Converting the MPA valve terminal to different pressure zones

The MPA valve terminal can be fitted with the following
number of pressure zones depending on the connection vari
ant:

Electrical
connection variant

MPA valve terminal with ...

Number of pressure zones

The pressure zones are formed either by special sub−bases or
by special sheet metal seals.

On  the  sub−bases  with  pressure  zone  separation  only  supply
channel  (1)  is  separate.  Separation  is  made  in  the  centre  of  the
sub−base,  i.e.  on

the MPA1 after the second valve location

the MPA2 after the first valve location.

The following channels can be separated with the sheet metal
seals:

only the supply channel (1)

supply channel (1) and exhaust channels (3 and 5)

only exhaust channels (3 and 5)

You  can  recognize  whether  your  MPA  valve  terminal  is
equipped  with  pressure  zones  either  by  the  marking  on  the
sub−base  (see  Table5/10)  or  by  the  marking  on  the  seal  (see
Table5/11).
