Mounting (horizontal mounting position)
1. At the position of an adjusting kit:
Check the guide rail of X-axis 2
8
for:
–
Height offset to previously aligned X-axis 1
–
Flatness
–
Compare the test result with the specified limit values
7.2.2 Limit values of X-axis alignment.
The settings can be checked at the same time by using a second spirit level on the guide rail of
X-axis 2.
2. At the test position:
Align the guide rail of X-axis 2 with the adjusting kit of the X-axis 2.
3. Repeat steps 1. and 2. at every adjusting kit of X-axis 2.
Place the test equipment and the steel straightedge at the position of the adjusting kit.
4. Check the guide rail of X-axis 2 again for compliance with the limit values for flatness, tilt and for
the height offset.
7.2.7
Align X-axes parallel
1. Unscrew the socket head screws of the adjusting kits on X-axis 2
¼
revolution.
Make sure that the set adjusting bolt does not twist in the adjusting kit.
2. Slide the Y-axis (cross-brace) back and forth over the entire stroke of the X-axes to make the guide
rails parallel.
Make sure that there is sufficient play in X-axis 2 in the slotted holes of the adjusting kits to set
the axes parallel.
3. Move the Y-axis (cross-brace) to the motor-side drive cover.
Tighten the socket head screws of the adjusting kit of X-axis 2 at this position.
Tightening torque 24 Nm
When tightening the socket head screws the Y-axis (cross-brace) must be at the position of the
adjusting kit.
4. Move the Y-axis (cross-brace) towards the end cap to the next adjusting kit.
Tighten the socket head screws of the adjusting kit of X-axis 2 at this position.
Tightening torque 24 Nm
5. Repeat step 4. for all mounting positions of X-axis 2 until the Y-axis (cross-brace) is in contact with
the end caps.
6. Inspect both guide rails again for compliance with the limit values for flatness, sideways tilting
and height offset.
If the limit values are not in compliance:
Repeat the steps for aligning the axes until the limit values are in compliance or take other
measures to comply with the limit values.
