Comparators
With comparators, certain characteristics of the drive behaviour can be monitored. It is hereby checked
whether a value, e.g. the speed of the drive, lies within a defined range of values. The range of values is
defined by a lower and an upper limit value. For position, speed and force comparators, a damping time
is also established. The message is output if the value remains in the range of values for the duration of
the damping period.
Comparators can be used for monitoring in record selection mode and direct operation. For record se
lection, the parameters of the comparators (e.g. minimum value and maximum value of the monitoring
window) are administered in the position set. For record sequencing, the comparators can be used as
step enabling conditions. For the direct mode, the parameters of the comparators are administered as
global parameters for direct mode (presetting for direct mode).
The configurable digital output is usable for the output of comparator messages. If the monitored value
is in the monitoring window, the related comparator message is active. The configurable digital output
(configurable) is set when it is configured accordingly.
Outside the monitoring window, the comparator message is inactive and the output is reset.
Comparator
Description
Time
The message is enabled if the elapsed time since the start of the order lies within
the window.
Position
The limit values must lie within the permissible range between the software end
positions. Even the relative position limits are always specified in absolute values
(reference to the zero point). The message is active if the actual value for the para
meterised time lies within the window.
Speed
The message is active if the actual value for the parameterised time lies within the
window.
Force/torque
The limits are specified between -1000 to +1000 ‰ related to the force basic value
(PNU 555). The message is active if the actual value for the parameterised time lies
within the window.
