2.3.1 HOLD/CLEAR and Fail safe
The CPX terminal supports the CC−Link HOLD/CLEAR function.
In this way, system−specific I/O states can be defined in case
there is a fault.
The reaction of the outputs when there is a fault is defined
with the relevant DIL switch setting (see section 1.2.2).
The following field bus communication faults count as fault
cases:
communication interruption
communication time−out.
Depending on the DIL switch setting, the CPX terminal reacts
as follows when a fault occurs:
With the setting CLEAR," the outputs are always reset
when a fault occurs.
With the setting HOLD," the signal states of the outputs
are retained when a fault occurs.
Please note
The special CPX fail safe parametrizings (see CPX system
manual) are not supported by field bus node CPX−FB23.
