IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

R E AD  AL L  INS TR UCT IONS BEF OR E USI NG

With both

m an u al a nd el ectr ic

machines, always:

• Remove staples and other metal from sheets before punching
• Keep the transparent die cover closed during punching, and
• Keep the covers closed when the machine is not in use.

Never attempt to open or otherwise repair either of these machines.

With the

m a n u a l

model, also make sure the punching bar

.

is lowered when not in use

in order to avoid bumping or catching your arm. With the

e l e c t r i c

model, treat it as you

would any other piece of electrical equipment:

• Keep it away from heat or water sources
• Plug it in near an easily accessible outlet
• Turn it off after each use, and
• Unplug it when not in use for an extended period.

S e t - u p

cushioned hand grip first to one arm of the machine and then to the other. (We have
included a screwdriver and screws for this purpose.)

There is no assembly required for the

model. Simply plug it in. If you would like to

work “hands free” while binding documents, also plug the cable of the foot pedal

/

into

the jack

on the right side of the machine.

remove any
