2. Remove the two screws and the spring which
secure the selected headlamp and bracket to the rear
housing.
3. Remove the headlamp and bracket from the
rear housing and disconnect the wiring. Note that the
original headlamp wiring will not be used.
Avoid damage to brake lines, electrical wiring,
and other vital parts. When drilling or cutting
on ANY part of the vehicle, ensure that both
sides of the surface are clear of parts that could
be damaged .
4. Drill a 25/64” hole in the rear housing for the
rubber grommet. Install the rubber grommet and route
the 18GA (minimum) user-supplied wiring through the
opening.
5. See figure 2. Install the QL64MHL plate on the
light bezel using the two 1/4-20 x 1-1/4” screws and 4
aluminum spacers as shown.

6. Terminate the QL64 light wires using
appropriate user-supplied connectors.
7. See figure 2. Install the QL64 light on the
QL64MHL adaptor plate using the four 1-1/2” s.s.
screws (supplied with the QL64) and four nylon nut
grommets.
8. Secure the headlight trim ring to the QL64MHL
adaptor plate using four 1” s.s. screws, four nylon
spacers, and four nylon nut grommets as shown in
figure 2.
9. See figure 1. Secure the headlight bezel and
rear housing using the four remaining screws.
If wires are shorted to the vehicle frame
or each other, high current conductors can
cause hazardous sparks resulting in elec-
trical fires and molten metal.
Verify that no short circuits exist before
connecting to the Positive (+) battery ter-
minal.
DO NOT connect this system to the vehicle
battery until ALL other electrical connec-
tions are made and mounting of all compo-
nents is complete.
Failure to observe this WARNING will re-
sult in fire, burns and blindness.
