1) INTRODUCTION
There are two methods of attaching the lightbar to the roof: either using a support and
brace (standard attachment) or a permanent attachment to the vehicle roof. The choice of the
attachment method depends on whether a secure anchorage point for the brace is available. If an
anchorage for the brace is not possible, a permanent attachment system should be selected. For
this, drill holes should be made in the vehicle roof to fix the supporting bracket to the bodywork.
The instructions below correspond to the «
Permanent Attachment
» supporting bracket.
We follow with some advice on how to install the lightbar on the vehicle roof:
- Whenever the lightbar needs to be moved or transferred, assistance is required from
another person to avoid causing damage to either the lightbar or the vehicle.
- When drilling holes in the roof, ensure that no damage will be caused to objects inside
the vehicle. In addition, check that the drill holes do not interfere with any part of the roof
reinforcement structure.
- The lightbar can be installed with a roof connector or sheathed cable. If the installation is
carried out with a roof connector, follow the instructions shown on the bag for the roof connector
wiring. Bear in mind that the roof connector is positioned on the front of the lightbar to the right
of the vehicle according to the driving direction (passenger side).
2) CHECKING THE MATERIAL
We follow with a list of the components contained in the assembly kit for the two lightbar
brackets 7000/8000 using the «Permanent attachment» system. See Figure 1 to identify these.
Check that all the components have been included in the contents.
