Will the air purifier still work without the scent cartridge?
Yes, the scent cartridge is optional and the unit will function normally as an air purifier
without it.
How long does a scent cartridge last?
A single scent cartridge can last up to 30 days, depending on use and the level of
scent intensity chosen.
How does the electronic scent check work?
The scent check LED will illuminate after 30 days of use. Replace the scent cartridge
at that time and reset the scent monitor. Or, change the scent cartridge more
frequently based on individual preference and do the Early Reset as described on
Page 7.
How does the electronic filter check work?
The red filter check LED will illuminate when it is time to replace the filter after 4
months of operation of the air purifier. Change the filter and reset the filter monitor.
We recommend that you clean the air purifier at least once every 3 months and before
extended storage. Use only a dry cloth to wipe the external surfaces of the air purifier.
DO NOT USE WATER, WAX POLISH, OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION.
It is recommended that you do not store your air purifier with the scent cartridge installed
as it will lose fragrance potency over time.

replacement filter is not cleanable, and should be replaced every 4
months to ensure optimal performance.
The replacement interval is intended as a guideline only. Useful life expectancy of any
filter media is dependent upon the concentration of contaminates going through the
system. High concentrations of contaminates such as dust, pet dander and smoke will
reduce the useful life of the filter.

Can I wash my Febreze

HEPA-Type filter?
No. Washing the Febreze
™
HEPA-Type filter will destroy it.
My air purifier is making noise and the air output is less. What’s wrong?
The Febreze
™
HEPA-type filter in your air purifier was shipped with a plastic bag over
it to ensure purity. Make sure the plastic bag has been removed before use.
If you’ve been using the air purifier, the filter(s) may be dirty. High amounts of
contaminates can block the pores in the filter and stop the air from moving through it.

How long should I run my air purifier?
In general, it is recommended that you run your air purifier when you are at home to
clean the air. The unit may be run 24/7 if preferred. This unit will be more effective
when windows and doors are closed.
