6.9 Maintenance every 6 months
6.9.1 Check the oil level in the exciter housing
NOTICE!
Park the machine on level ground.
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the ”table of fuels and
lubricants”.
Clean the area around breather and drain plug.
Unscrew the bleeding screw (1) Ä Fig. 41.
Unscrew the oil drain plug (2) and check the oil level.
The oil level must reach the bottom edge of the drain bore.
If the oil level is too low top up oil immediately.
Clean oil drain and bleeding screw and assemble both
screws with sealing compound (e.g. BOMAG part-no.
00970016).
6.9.2 Check the V-belt tension, if necessary replace the V-belt
Remove the V-belt guard Ä Fig. 42.
