5. Auto sprinkling (AWC)

When compacting asphalt, remember to turn on the
sprinkler system (4) or (5).

Make sure that the area in front of and behind the
roller is clear.

Release the parking brake (2).

Machine with gear change in separate
spring-return switch (gear position switch)

Switch (1) is a spring-return gear position switch,
where gear changing take place by stepping through
the three different gear positions: Position 1, Position 2
and Position 3.

• Position 1: Used for maximum hill-climbing capacity

during vibratory compaction

• Position 2: Normal position

• Position 3: Used for maximum transport speed or for high

speed during smooth rolling without vibration
