Damage to mechanics
Positioning exceeding the position overrun leads to a loss of information of the absolute po-
sition and can damage the mechanics.
Ensure that the application travel is within the range limits of the maximum travel.
During commissioning and after a battery change, reset the revolution count of the
encoder using the preset pin, see chap. 4.4, p. 24. By interpreting the data values with
sign (signed), positioning can then be made in both directions of rotation up to the
overrun, see chap. 6, p. 27.
Position limits can be defined (LL, UL) in the controller, which cannot be overrun, see
Fig. 3.
