Chain guards (optional equipment) should be added to the machine when it is used in areas where
people, animals, or property may be hit or endangered by thrown objects. The rapidly rotating
blades may strike and throw wire, sticks, loose rocks, or trash with considerable force. Even with
chain guards, it is recommended that the operator be sure to keep all persons and animals far
enough away from the operating area to be completely clear of thrown objects.

Never allow riders on machine or tractor!

Transport machine at safe speed.
13.
Do not operate this equipment after consuming alcohol or certain medications that may cause
drowsiness. If in doubt, ask your physician.

Do not allow minors to operate this machinery. Allow only trained personnel familiar with the
machinery with the operator’s manual.
Assembly and Set - Up Instructions
A.
Set up A-Frame and position hitch pins into proper position. Be sure to use lock washers and
tighten bolts securely. Attach the flex chain brace to A-Frame then fasten chain end on the tail
wheel adjustment bracket.
B.
Remove the snap ring fro the input shaft on the gear box. Attach the PTO shaft and install the
shear bolt. Be sure to replace the snap rings to the gear box input shaft. The snap ring will hold
the PTO shaft in place if the shear bolt is sheared.
C.
Check all bolts including gear box mounting bolts, blades, and blade carrier bolts.
D.
Adjust the tail wheel bracket to level the rotary cutter or obtain desired cutting position.
E.
Lubricate gearbox, tail wheel hub, tail wheel spindle, PTO U-Joints.
F.
Attach rotary cutter to the tractor.
Operation

1.
Check gear box for lubrication prior to operation.
2.
Check all lubrication points on PTO shaft and tail wheel.
3.
Be sure all bolts are tight and snap rings are in place.
4.
Be sure the rotary cutter is properly mounted on the tractor.
5.
Adjust and level rotary cutter for the desired cutting height.
