Assembly / Operation - 48", 60", 72", & 84" Box Scraper
Assembly Instructions
1. Attach the upper 3-point a-frame members, to the lower 3-point hitch lugs as shown on page
10, with hardware as indicated. DO NOT tighten hardware. Align the a-frame top link and
lower hitch holes in order to allow your hitch pins to pass through them. A-frame should be
positioned square to the box scraper frame when tightening hardware.
2. Before inserting shanks, attach box scraper to tractor 3-point hitch using top 3-point hitch pin
and linch pins furnished by customer, or raise up front of box scraper and support with blocks.
3. Use the scarifier shanks to break up hard or packed surfaces. If it is necessary to add weight
to the blade, use a maximum of 200 lbs.
4. The two blades allow the operator to scrape or level in either direction. The shanks should be
used to break up compacted material ahead of the blade.
Operation Instructions
Theory of Operation
1. Raise the Box Scraper off the ground.
2. Securely block up the frame.
3. Remove shank pins.
4. Install, adjust height or remove as desired. Always keep shanks at the same depth for
best results.
5. Install shank pins.
