Filters and ERV core washing instructions
For proper maintenance of your energy recovery core please follow these instructions

1 Remove the air exhaust filter by sliding it
out.
2 Rotate the metal plate holding the ERV core
and intake air filter in place and remove
filter. Wash filters in warm soapy water
then rinse and let dry.
* When cleaning only the filters, make sure
to replace the metal plate after removing
the filter.
3 Remove the core from the unit.
4 With one of your core's air inlets facing
down, place it in a large sink, bathtub, or
shower.
5 Pour clean tap water through the face of the
core facing upwards until it runs clear.
Ensure the entire surface is rinsed.
6 Rotate the core so that its other air inlet is
facing down and repeat step 5.
7 With plates still oriented vertically allow the
core to dry, normally 2-3 hours.
8 Slide back the core into the system making
sure that the arrow points to the motors.
9 Replace the exhaust air filter.
10 Replace the intake air filter and rotate the
metal plate holding the filter and ERV core
in place.
