NIKON COOLPIX S50, S50C, S51 AND S51C FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS
ISO 1600 capability
Light sensitivity can be manually set as high as ISO 1600. This allows the
use of faster shutter speeds to avoid blurred results when shooting
moving objects or in locations with insufficient lighting. In high sensitivity
mode, the ISO is automatically adjusted from ISO 50 to as high as ISO
1600
,
to ensure optimal exposure and carefree shooting in lower light.
VR Image Stabilization
All six camera models feature an especially compact built-in “right-angle”
optical VR 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens. Offering a pleasing 38-114mm range
(35mm equivalent), they not only deliver great compositional freedom,
but also overcome the effects of camera shake to produce clearer and
sharper images. Whenever the power is switched on, the image appears
stabilized on the large LCD monitor until the shutter-release button is
pushed.
3.0-inch LCD Monitor
The bright, large 3.0-inch LCD monitor features 230,000 dots of high
resolution, a wide vertical and horizontal viewing angle of 160 degrees
and anti-reflection coating for better display in bright situations, like
when shooting underwater in daylight.
Wi-Fi Capability
The Coolpix S50c, S51c and S52c are distinguished from the S50 and
S51 cameras by their Wi-Fi capabilities, which open up a new world of
possibilities to the camera user with COOLPIX CONNECT. Picture Mail is
one of the services included within this package, as it triggers an e-mail
notification to the user’s friends when new pictures are available to
download and view.
