1) In general
All Famos rotating heat sealers are conform to the Dutch and German Directives (R3280 en DIN 58.953
Part 7) that are drawn up for sealing packing material as indicated below. All Famos F108 heat sealers can
therefore be used for packing medical equipment.
The Famos heat sealers are
NOT
medical products.
It is not allowed to use the sealers in the direct presence of patients (for example, in operation theatres).
The minimum distance between the heat sealing machines and patients should be 1,5m.
Working area
The Famos F108 TX rotating heat sealer is suitable for sealing following materials:
•
Laminate packing material
•
Sterilisation paper packingmaterial fitted with top seal
•
Tyvek (if sealer is designed as a Tyvek sealer)
For the correct temperature setting of the different packing materials we refer to the manufacturer of the
materials.
The Famos F108 TX rotating heat sealer is
not
suitable for sealing the following material:
•
Polyethylen foil
•
Soft PVC foil
•
Hard PVC foil
•
Polyamide foil
•
Polypropylen foil
(For above mentioned materials Famos bv can offer an impuls sealer).
