Installation:
Be sure to check the unit for damage before use. Use the original packaging or a suitable transport
or storage packaging to protect the product from dust, moisture, etc. when not in use.
Directional characteristics:
Microphones have one or more directional characteristics in order to achieve better sound recording
results, depending on the application. Sound arriving at the basket and capsule from certain angles
can be erased, attenuated or not infl uenced at all. How strong or weak these effects are depends
on the microphone. The main characteristics are omnidirectional, eight and club, while the cardioid,
wide cardioid, supercardioid and hypercardioid characteristics are mixed.
Example application 1: Omnidirectional
Since the omnidirectional characteristic has no extinctions due to the design of the microphone,
sound from all directions can be picked up almost uniformly.
Example application 2: Cardioid
Sound hitting the rear is extinguished/dampened by the cardioid characteristic. The focus here is on
the direct signal.
Equipment and use:
•
2 miniature overhead condenser microphones for cymbal pickup.
•
Including plastic hard shell case.
•
Built-in 10dB pad and bass roll-off switch.
•
Requires Phantom Power for operation (Phantom power 48 V).
•
The microphone has a wide cardioid frequency band.
•
6dB/Octave roll-off at 200Hz to compensate „Close Miking“ proximity effect, built-in selectab-
le 10dB attentuator to allow operation at high sound pressure levels.
Operation:
All connections of the device should be made before switching on. Only use high-quality, undama-
ged and as short cables as possible for the connections.
