Important hints for the assembly of watermill no. 130225
1. The pump.
The included water pump no. 180627 works on 12-16 volts AC. Please make sure that the suction pipe is always submerged in water.
If the pump is running dry for a longer period of time it will be damaged. Therefore, always check the water level in the basin each
time the pump is operated. To remove the surface tension of the water, use a few drops of detergent.
2. Assembly of the watermill.
Following the placing of part 1/2 the trough (fig. Q) must be glued into the notch of part 1/2 together with the cover plate (7/16).
This spot must be asolutely watertight, therefore use a plastic cement of thick consistency (and not a thinner), this also goes for part 1/3.
Any leaking spots must be thoroughly covered up with plastic cement. Before painting and decorating the hillside, a test run should be
made and also the waterflow should be regulated. Fig. T shows the regulating pin (7/7). Since the pump delivers always more water
than what is actually required, the flow can be regulated by either raising or depressing the regulating pin.
This explains why this pin moves a bit heavily, it should stay at the desired position.
3. Installation of the watermill.
Fig. A shows the depressed installation oft he water-basin on a layout. This requires the removal of a section of the board in the shape
of the basin (part 2/1). To effect this, use a compass saw.
Fig. B shows the water-basin placed on the surface of the board. In this case, the basin is being cemented to the board and filler is to be
used around it, so as to make it look as if it stands on a small hill. If the hillside of the mill is to attached to a mountainside,
then the transitional area should loosely be covered up with shrubbery, Icelandic moss, etc.
Under no circumstances must the mill be cemented to the water-basin or to any other part so as not to prevent its removal in case of a
failure or for its cleaning. For this latter reason it is recommended to leave the electric cable leading to the pump a bit longer.
Kindly adhere to these suggestions so that your watermill will always function properly.
