dirt paste that may affect the vehicle’s functions.
During that procedure also make sure that mud
guards do not come into contact with tyres. The
lubrication points are indicated in red in figure 1.
Adjusting the steering rod
FALLER Car System vehicles can only be ideally
guided if the steering rods are adjusted correctly.
This is the case in the delivered condition. How-
ever, variations can occur for example through
accidents in traffic. A readjustment is then neces-
sary. The magnet slider should always glide par-
allel to the surface of the road. In case of small-
er vehicles with folded steering slider tip, the
magnetic force can be regulated by unfolding the
wire with the tip of a knife. This may be neces-
sary to optimize the steering power, for instance
in case of steering loss because the magnet is to
high or in case of ‘adhesion’ of the steering rod
to the road because the distance of the magnet
to the road is really too small. Please refer to
figure 2 for the ideal adjustment.
Figure 2
Please note:
• The steering rod must lie on the roadway and
be able to swivel to the right and to the left.
• The screw connection on the slider must fea-
ture some play.
• The steering rod should always glide parallel
to the surface of the road.
To check whether the steering slider is correctly
adjusted, place the vehicle onto a perfectly flat
surface, for instance a glass pane or the working
board in a kitchen.
Changing tyres
Even model cars require maintenance. Routine
tyre changes are required based on the mileage.
Insufficient tread results in a loss of traction and
steering issues. This will be noticeable in curves
and on hills. Routinely checking tyres is there-
fore advisable.
By the way:
changing tyres is
even easier and faster than in real life. You may
purchase spare tyres and all other spare parts
through FALLER‘s customer service. Be sure to also
include the vehicle’s item number when ordering.
