Safety is Important
• Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for your safety
and others’. Keep this manual in a safe place for future use.
• When using an electrical device, the following precautions should always be taken. In
order to prevent fire, electric shock and personal injuries;
• Before using the appliance, make sure your mains voltage is compatible with the
appliance voltage.
• This device is not a toy. So please never let your children play with the appliance and
be more careful when there are children.
• Before the first use, check the appliance for damages and malfunctions. If there is any
malfunction or damage to the equipment, do not use the appliance and get in contact
with Fakir Authorized Service.
Important safegards
1. Please read this instruction manual before using the appliance and save it for future
reference.
2. Before using the iron for first time, please check if the voltage rating on type plate
corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
3. The appliance is intended for household use only. Do not use for industrial purposes.
4. Do not use outdoors and in rooms with high humidity.
5. Do not immerse the iron and cord in water or any other liquids.
6. Never pull the cord while disconnecting from the power outlet; instead, grasp the
plug only and pull to disconnect.
7. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
8. Always unplug the iron from the power outlet before filling or emptying the water tank
and when not in use.
9. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after it has been
immersed in water or damaged in any manner.
10. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not attempt to disassemble or repair the
appliance by yourself.
11. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced at an authorized service center, in order
to avoid hazard.
12. Contact the nearest service center for examination, repair or adjustment of the iron.
13. Close supervision is necessary for this appliance being used near children.
14. Do not let children use the iron.
15. Do not leave the iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
16. Place the appliance on an ironing board carefully, in order to avoid damaging the
soleplate.
17. Be careful not to touch hot metal parts of the iron.
18. Be careful around zippers and similar items to prevent the soleplate from
scratching.
19. Do not place the iron on metal or rough surfaces.
20. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
21. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
22. Never leave the iron unattended while in use.
