Important safeguards
Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be
followed including the following:
Read all instructions before using
1. Read all instructions and save it for future reference.
2. Before using check that the voltage of wall outlet corresponds to the one shown on
the rating plate.
3. Burns may occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution
when you turn a steam iron upside down as there may be hot water in water tank.
4. If any part is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an or a qualified
technician in order to avoid a hazard.
5. Don’t operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner, Return the appliance to the
nearest for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
6. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or hot surface.
7. The plug of power cord must be removed from outlet before water tank is filled with
water.
8. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before filling water or cleaning.
9. Do not operate the iron for other than its intended use.
10. To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other
liquids.
11. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children.
12. Do not leave iron unattended when connected into power supply or on an ironing
board.
13. Do not use outdoors.
Important precautions
When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed , including
the following:
1. Use the iron only for its intended use.
2. To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other
liquids.
3. The iron should always be turned to “min” before plugging or unplugging from the
mains outlet. Never pull the cord to disconnect from the mains: instead, grasp plug
and pull to disconnect.
4. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces. Allow the iron to cool completely before
putting away.
5. Always disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet when filling with water or
emptying and when not in use
6. Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or
damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron .take it to a
Fakir Authorized Service Agent for examination and repair. Incorrect re-assembly,
can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.
