Getting Started
1. Before you use the toaster for the first time, place it near an open window. Plug the
power cord into a wall socket, and operate a few times at the maximum browning
setting without any bread.
2. How to use the toaster: Place the base unit on a firm and flat surface. Plug the power
cord into a wall socket. Place bread in the toasting slots and select the browning
setting (1-6). Push down the Start lever.
3. When the bread has reached the desired degree of browning, the toaster switches
off automatically and the bread is lifted up. To interrupt toasting, press the Stop
button.
Features and Cleaning
1. Reheating bread: To warm up already toasted bread, press the Reheat button before
pushing down the Start lever.
2. Toasting frozen bread: To toast frozen bread, press the Defrost buton before
pushing down the Start lever.
3. Cleaning and care: Before cleaning, always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool
down. Empty the crumb tray. Wipe the outer surfaces with a damp cloth. Never use
caustic or abrasive cleaners, and never immerse the appliance in liquid.
