Unplug the appliance from the mains.
To remove the piercing lever, lift it up
as far as it will go and pull outwards
(fig. D).
Clean the lever with warm soapy water
and dry well.
Keep the blade clean at all times.
Clean the tin opener with a damp
cloth and dry well. Do not submerge in
water.
To replace the lever, simply repeat
the process in reverse, making sure
that the groove coincides with the
corresponding tongue (fig. D). There
is only one correct position. When the
lever is correctly inserted, simply return
it to its usual position.

Place the tin on a flat surface.
•
Plug the tin opener into the mains.
•
Place the piecing lever in an upright
position and lift the hinged magnet
(fig. A).
•
Place the tin opener on the tin so
that the outer edge of the tin is
positioned over the toothed wheel
(fig. B).
•
Lower the piecing lever without
pressing the ON switch, so that the
blade rests on the lid of the tin (fig.
C).
•
Lower the magnet onto the tin lid.
•
Press down hard on the piecing
lever to begin the cutting process.
You do not need to turn the tin – the
appliance will do this automatically.
•
You do not need to keep pressing
down on the lever once the cutting
process is underway.
•
When the cutting process is
completed, the tin opener will stop
automatically as long as you are not
pressing down on the piercing lever.
The lid will remain attached to the
magnet.

Lift the piercing lever to release the
tin and then remove the lid from the
magnet, being careful not to cut
yourself on the sharp edges. Before
lifting the lever, make sure you are
holding the tin firmly or that it is
resting on a stable surface.
