Troubleshooting
Symptom Reason Solution
The fl ame eff ect does
not start. The power plug is not inserted into the wall
socket.
Low water level
Low voltage plug is not connected well
(see Figure 6).
The transductor (mist maker) is not correctly
installed in the receptacle.
Check whether the plug is properly inserted into
the wall socket.
Check whether the water reservoir is full and
whether water is in the receptacle.
Check whether the low voltage plug is properly
connected. (Figure 6)
Check whether the transductor is properly and
entirely in the hole.
The fl ame eff ect is too
low. The control knob of the fl ame eff ect is set too
low (see Figure 2).
The metal disk in the transductor may be dirty
(see Figure 12).
The cable of the transductor (mist maker) runs
over the metal disk.
Slowly turn the control knob 'D' clockwise to
increase the fl ame intensity (see Figure 2).
Clean the metal disk with the supplied soft
brush (see Figure 12 and 'Maintenance' for a
step-by-step procedure).
Place the cable correctly and let it run outwards
via the hole at the back of the receptacle.
Unpleasant smell when
the fi re is used Dirty or stale water
Using unfi ltered tap water
Clean the fi re as described in 'Maintenance'.
Only use water with a hardness of maximum
10dH or use demineralised or reverse osmosis
water.
The fl ame eff ect
produces too much
smoke. The fl ame eff ect is set too high. Turn the control knob 'C' of the fl ame eff ect
clockwise (approx. a quarter turn each time).
Give the fl ame mechanism some time to
respond to the new setting (see Figure 2).
The main lamps do not
work and there are no
fl ames or smoke. No water in the water reservoir Follow the instructions described in
Maintenance 'Filling the water reservoir'.
Check whether the plug is properly inserted into
the wall socket.
Switch 'A' (Figure 2) is in the ON (
I ) position.
