INSTALLING THE INTERFACE
1.  Turn power OFF
2.  Plug in the XIB interface to the 2EASY con-

nector on the E024U board

3.  Wire the shadow loop detector NC output 

to the CL input on the XIB board. See Fig. 

2. 

4.  Connect Common from loop detector to 

Common (terminal 6) on E024U

5.  Also jump out the OP input on XIB board to 

Common (terminal 6) on E024U

6.  Turn power back ON
7.  Go through setup/learn mode on the 

E024U board

Through the use of the XIB interface board you can connect an additional loop detector (center or 

shadow) to the E024U board to keep the gate open if vehicles are obstructing the closing path.

Depending on the board revision you might need 

to upgrade the software on the E024U before you 

can use the shadow loop kit. The software can 

be downloaded from the faacusa.com website or 

requested from Technical Support. 
To do the upgrade:
1. 

Download software to a flash drive

2.  Disconnect batteries if present
3.  Turn AC power off and insert the Flash Drive 

into the USB connector on the board

4.  Turn AC power back on. The USB2 LED will 

flash to confirm beginning of software update. 

(Warning: Do not turn the power off or remove 

the flash drive until the USB2 LED turns off.)

5.  Wait until the USB2 LED turns off
6. 

Remove the USB flash drive
