5 Maintenance
5.1 IntroductIon
Maintenance must be performed by skilled and authorised personnel.
Maintenance of the peripheral includes operations (inspections, tests, checks, adjustment and replacement) necessary as
a result of normal use.
For good maintenance:

Only use original spare parts and tools suitable for the purpose and in good condition.
▫
Observe the scheduled maintenance intervals indicated in the manual (preventive and periodic). The intervals shall be
understood to be the maximum acceptable and must therefore not be exceeded; shorter intervals may, of course, be
used.
▫
Good preventive maintenance requires constant attention and continuous monitoring of the peripheral. Promptly
ascertain the causes of any anomalies such as excessive noise, overheating, paper dust residue, etc. and resolve them.

Prompt removal of the possible causes of the fault or malfunction prevents further damage to the equipment and
guarantees operator safety.

f in doubt, you must not operate. Consult the manufacturer for the necessary clarifications.
Peripheral maintenance is split into two main categories from an operational point of view:

All those operations that the operator must carry out, in a preventive
manner, to ensure the proper operation of the peripheral over time;
routine maintenance includes inspection, control, adjustment and cle-
aning work.

Maintenance
All those operations which the technician must perform when the
peripheral requires it. Service maintenance includes activities such as
overhaul, repair, restoration of the rated operating conditions or repla-
cement of a faulty, worn or defective assembly.
each maintenance procedure illustrated and described herein contains an indication of the mini-
mum skill level required to perform it.
